Social climate : MINESUP staff at the school of information monitoring
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education presided over an information and training seminar on capacity building for staff of the Division for the Promotion of University Dialogue and Solidarity in Universities (DPDSU) on Monday 17 July 2023 in Conference Room 904 MINESUP
Opening the seminar, Professor Wilfred NYONGBET GABSA, Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, commended the Head Division for the Promotion of Dialogue and Solidarity in Universities on his initiative in informing and training its staff in innovative information monitoring, with a view to making them more practical and concrete agents of peacekeeping in the university milieu. This is an activity that he supports insofar as today’s technological challenges make it necessary to renew the techniques and means of monitoring dialogue in the university environment. Hence the importance of familiarising DPDSU officials and staff with the new tools likely to help maintain a calm and serene social climate on campus.
In his opening remarks, Professor Blaise MTOPI FOTSO, Head of the Division for the Promotion of Dialogue and Solidarity in Universities, outlined the main objective of the seminar, namely to build the capacity of DPDSU staff in innovative information monitoring mechanisms. Moreover, the aim is to put MINESUP’s central services and the various stakeholders in the university community on the same page through platforms and relays for information monitoring, while developing trustworthy relationships with journalists from all media professionals. In this regard, three experts were called upon for their wisdom: Alain NANVOU, Head of Internet Transit Centre at Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL); Ghislain TSAFACK, ICT Assistant at HCR; Junior NDONGMO, ICT at Nexland Solution.
