On Tuesday June 20, 2023 as from 10.00am, was held, in the conference room of the National Center for the Supervision of the lnteruniversity Network of Cameroon and the University Digital Development Center, the 11 th session of the National Commission for Medical, Pharmaceutical and Odontostomatology Training in Cameroon (NCMPOT) chaired by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education. Created by Order No. 055/PM of June 10, 2013 of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, this Commission is essentially responsible for issuing technical opinions on the quality of training for health professionals in public and private universities in Cameroon, in order to consolidate the academic, technological and professional quality in medical training structures.
ln attendance at this working session were: the Representative of the Minister of Public Health, Vice-Chairperson of the Commission, the Rector of the University of Yaoundé 1, the Representative of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea, Representatives of the partner administrations, Deans of the Faculties of Medicine and approved Private Institutes of Medicine, the Presidents of the National Orders of Health Professionals (Doctors, Pharmacists and Dental Surgeons).
After adopting the report of the 10″ session, which took place on May 24, 2022 and the results of the national examinations of the 2022 session which took place overall in an atmosphere of cairn and serenity, the following resolutions, resulting from the fruitful debates on the items on the agenda, were adopted. Le mardi 20 juin 2023, s’est tenue, à partir de 10 heures, à la salle de conférence du Centre National de Supervision du Réseau lnteruniversitaire du Cameroun et de Développement du Numérique Universitaire, la 11eme session de la Commission Nationale de la Formation Médicale, Pharmaceutique et Odontostomatologique du Cameroun (CNFMP) présidée par le Ministre d’Etat, Ministre de l’Enseignement Supérieur. Créée par arrêté N°055/PM du 10 juin 2013 du Premier Ministre, Chef du Gouvernement, cette Commission est essentiellement chargée d’émettre des avis techniques sur la qualité de la formation des professionnels de la santé dans les établissements universitaires publics et privés du Cameroun, afin de consolider la qualité académique, technologique et professionnelle au niveau des structures de formation médicale.
Ont notamment pris part à ces travaux : le Représentant du Ministre de la Santé Publique, Vice-Président de la Commission, le Recteur de l’Université de Yaoundé 1, le Représentant du ViceChancellor de l’Université de Buéa, les Représentants des administrations partenaires, les Doyens des Facultés de Médecine et des Instituts Privés de Médecine agréés, les Présidents des Ordres Nationaux des Professionnels de la Santé (Médecins, Pharmaciens et Chirurgiens-dentistes).
Après avoir adopté le rapport de la 10me session, qui a eu lieu le 24 mai 2022 et le bilan des examens nationaux de la session 2022 qui se sont déroulés globalement dans une atmosphère empreinte de calme et de sérénité, les résolutions suivantes, issues des débats fructueux sur les points inscrits à l’ordre du jour, ont été adoptées.
