Le Ministre d’Etat, Ministre de l’Enseignement Supérieur, le Professeur Jacques FAME NDONGO, a procédé ce mercredi 14 septembre 2022, à la réception d’une unité de système de vidéo conférence Intelligent de marque « Huawei Idea Hub ». Il s’agit d’une donation de Monsieur Terry HE, Président Directeur Général du Groupe HUAWEI Northern Africa au Gouvernement camerounais.
Le don était porté par Monsieur Thomas ZHANG, Directeur Général de HUAWEI Cameroun, qu’accompagnait Madame Edmonde TEBOH, Responsable des Relations Publiques. Cette dernière a présenté l’équipement dans ses composantes hardware et software. Il ressort que celui-ci se présente sous la forme d’un écran haute définition d’une taille de 86 pouces, avec une caméra incorporée, 12 microphones, des hauts parleurs avec un système d’exploitation lui permettant de naviguer sur Internet avec fluidité et une interaction instantanée. Doté d’une capacité de stockage de 256 Go, le dispositif revêt plusieurs fonctionnalités : réunion, pour les visioconférences ; tableau blanc pour les présentations et projection. The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education announces to the general public and prospective applicants that those who are interested in the United Kingdom (UK) Commonwealth Master’s and Ph.D Scholarships tenable in the UK have some practical conditions which they must meet before applying for these scholarships. Interested applicants are advised to start working on these prerequisites while waiting for the offer to be made public by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in due time. These conditions are:
– A supporting statement from a named supervisor from at least one of the UK institutions to which they are applying (reserved for Ph.D candidates);

The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, received in audience, this afternoon, at the National Digital Supervision Center of the Cameroon Interuniversity Network, H. E. Christopher John Lamora, designated Ambassador of the United States of America to Cameroon. From the discussions that took place between the two delegations, the following conclusions emerged/
1- American-Cameroonian University cooperation will be intensified in terms of partnerships between Public Universities and Private Institutes of Higher Education (teaching, research, outreach activities).
2- The agreements, which fortunately already exist, between American Universities (Antioch University, Jackson State University, North Carolina University, etc.) and Cameroonian Universities (Buéa, Dschang, Ngaoundéré, Yaoundé I, etc.) will be optimized and diversified. (suite…)
