Signature d’un Accord-cadre entre Le MINESUP et la Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL)

Le Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur met une fois de plus le cap sur le numérique universitaire. C’est à la faveur de la signature d’un Accord-Cadre avec la Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL), ce mardi 08 septembre 2020 à la salle 1036 du MINESUP, en présence de la Ministre des PTT, les Chefs des Institutions Universitaires Publiques, le DG de l’Economie et le DG de l’ANTIC.
Cet accord-cadre qui s’appuie sur la stratégie nationale de riposte gouvernementale contre la pandémie du Covid-19 et ses répercussions sociales et économiques traduit la volonté de S.E. PAUL BIYA, Président de la République du Cameroun, dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre le Projet E-National Higher Education Network qui parachève la construction de l’Université camerounaise de 3e génération.
Le point saillant de cet accord-cadre repose sur la fourniture de la bande internet de très haut débit et l’interconnexion des universités.
Nous passons ainsi de 263 mégabits seconde pour l’ensemble des universités à une offre de 9334 mégabits seconde.
Cette avancée qualitative permet une meilleure visibilité et une intelligibilité des universités sur l scène internationale.
Les enseignements à distance, la direction des travaux scientifiques (masters, doctorats) à des milliers de kilomètres, les soutenances de thèses de doctorat et d’HDR en visioconférence.
L’ère de la cotation des universités camerounaises sur la scène internationale est de mise ainsi que l’entrée en compétition avec les institutions régionales, africaines, européennes, américaines, asiatiques et océaniques (l’Australie).Une université inter-Etats Congo Cameroun installée à Sangmelima au sud du pays est la 1ère institution du tout numérique au Cameroun et en Afrique centrale.
